Granny Ripple Stitch

Learn to crochet the Granny Ripple Stitch. This pattern is great for making blankets, afghans, scarfs, table runners, etc. It uses basic stitches such as double crochet, and chains. This blog post will give you the written instructions as well as provide a link for my free YouTube video tutorial for those who prefer to watch video or are visual learners. Crochet a gauge swatch to determine how many pattern repeats you need for your project. Once you have the number of stitches per repeat you can calculate the total needed for your project. Enjoy.

Supernova Square

Explore the shifting, layered textures of the Supernova Square. A starburst at the center sets this crochet afghan block in motion, radiating outwards into puffs, shells, ridges and more. With such varied textures, this blanket square works equally well with one color or many! The full square is 12 inches across. If you would like a smaller and more solid square, you can do that too, by working just the center portion without the shell stitch border!Supernova Square
