Rorschach Square

The Rorschach Square is a fun design that got its name from the feature of Palm Trees…Or a snowflake…Or a water fountain…Or Angels…what do YOU see? Just like the Rorschach test, the design changes with the person. This is a 6 inch square when worked up in Worsted weight yarn, but it can be worked up in any weight yarn to change its size. I think shrinking it down and making earrings could be so fun!Rorschach Square

Victorian Romance Square

Practice the popcorn stitch with this quick crochet granny square pattern!

From the blogger: "During my square designing kick, I first made the Native Sun Square, which had great texture. It was followed by the Mingle Square and the Primrose Square, which are equally as beautiful, but lacking the textures. So, I knew I had to make another that just 'popped.' The design of this 6-inch square reminds me of Victorian-era decor. Plus, the pop stitches look like hearts! This square would be great for many projects, but I definitely like it for an afghan."Victorian Romance Square

Barcelona Square

The Barcelona Square is a pretty square that takes on a different look when worked in 1, 2 or 3 colors. Work this square in 1 color, and it’s all about the texture; work it in 2 and watch the center motif pop up or use 3 colors for a color blocked, bold look! This square would be great in combination with others for an afghan or bedspread, but if you aren’t feeling inspired for such a large project, try two of them together to make a throw pillow or tote bag!
